I am plodding along with the health sciences library scenario assignment. I am at the  typing up phase.  The assignment is challenging and fun.

I just viewed the Special Libraries Association website.  It was packed full of useful information.  I would like to participate in several development seminars, which I may do if they are free.

Today, I attended the 145th annual convention of the Episcopal Diocese of Long Island and ran into the librarian of the library of the Mercer School of Theology.  I had met him several times before when I was at the school for meetings.  He seemed particularly enthusiastic when I told him that I was in library school and he invited me to volunteer.  What a surprise!  Of course, I plan to take him up on it.
