Getting my Sea Legs

I am finally getting my sea legs, that is, getting used to the Queens College village and in the swing of being a student again.  I have discovered that when I have an assignment that I should begin work on it as soon as I get home and not wait to work on the assignment “later.”  My commute is one and a half to two hours-two trains and a bus.  I do a lot of reading on the train, including assigned readings.  I find that if I work to keep up on the readings my life and my capacity to function in class are enhanced. I have a tendency to write in my books, so I could never resell them.  I keep them and they become useful references when I decide to explore a topic.

The hunt for money for tuition and conference expenses is ongoing. I get the feeling that post graduate librarians are always seeking money for projects and conference expenses.
